Lancelot Thomas Hogben (Portsmouth, 9 de dezembre de 1895 - 22 d'agosto de 1975) fui un zoólogo i geneticista anglés. Bida i obra

Fui depuis pa la Ounibersidade McGill, i an 1927 para ua cadeira de zologie na Ounibersidade de la Cidade de l Cabo. Trabalhou an andocrinologie usando l sapo Xenopus laebis, l que se traduziu an aplicaçones diretas pa l teste de grabideç. Ambora l'amprego na África de l Sul fusse atraente, l'antipatie de Hogben para cula política racial bigente lebou-lo a abandonar l paíç.

An 1930 mudou-se pa la London School of Economics, acupando ua cátedra de biologie social. An 1932, juntamente cun Haldane, Huxley i l geneticista Francis Albert Eiley Crew (1886-1973), fondou la Sociadade pa la Biologie Spurmental. Segundo Gary Werskey, Hogben era l único la nun partilhar eideias positibas subre la eugenia. Tornou-se Fellow de la Royal Society an 1936.

La cátedra de biologie social na LSE era financiada pula Fundaçon Rockefeller i, quando esta retirou l financiamiento, Hogben mudou-se, tornando-se Regius Professor de Stória Natural na Ounibersidade de Aberdeen an 1937. Hogben screbiu dous libros best-sellers de dibulagçon científica, Mathematics for the Million (1936) i Science for the Citizen (1938). Estes fúrun libros altamente ambiciosos. Quando staba an Aberden, Hogben zambolbiu un antresse pula lenguística. Para alhá d'eiditar The Loom of Language de l sou amigo Frederick Bodmer, criou ua léngua anternacional, la Interglossa, cumo ‘un rabisco dun auxeliar para ua orde democrática mundial’.
